Flaxseed Cracker a.k.a. PMS Crackers

These healthy and tasty crackers work with any dip or hummus. Makes about 30 crackers.

  • 1 cup flax seeds
  • 3 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt I use Real Salt
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon coriander
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • Dash of cayenne pepper to taste


  1. Preheat oven to 200F.
  2. Line a large baking sheet with a baking mat or parchment paper.
  3. In a large bowl, soak flax and chia seeds in 1 cup water for 20 minutes.

  4. Add the rest of the seasonings to the seeds and mix well.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly on a non-stick baking mat or parchment paper on a baking sheet and bake at 200F for an hour and a half. Flip it over and bake for another hour and a half.
  6. Turn the heat off and let it cool inside the oven.
  7. Once cooled, break it into free-form pieces.
