In celebration of Cinco de Mayo, I recently attended a media preview event at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar‘s in honor of their exclusive $100 Margarita!
I love a good margarita with great Tequila, but I couldn’t imagine what went into this luxurious drink, gold?
Disclosure: I sampled several tequilas, appetizers and the $100 Margarita at Flemings in exchange for social media coverage. I did not receive any monetary compensation. As always, all opinions are my own.
Well, I wasn’t far off. It may as well have been gold, or diamonds. It was certainly the liquid equivalent: ultra-premium 100 percent agave tequila with notes of rich vanilla and toasted dried fruit. It was smooth enough for sipping and yet, when added to a Margarita it paired in perfect harmony with the Grand Marnier. The combination made this the smoothest, most luxurious margarita I have ever tasted.
Fleming’s $100 Margarita features Tequila Herradura Selección Suprema which is aged for 49 months and Grand Marnier Centenaire. That’s the gold. As for the diamonds, this amazing cocktail is served in Baccarat’s uniquely designed Diamant Highball glass, that is yours to take home.
For those of you who prefer to make your drinks at home, the recipe is below. But just a warning, to recreate this luxurious drink it will look something like this:
Tequila Herradura Selección Suprema $412.00
Grand Marnier Centenaire $205.00
Fresh Lime Juice $.50
Classic Simple Syrup $12.00
Kaffir Lime Leaf $6.95
Gold Sugar $6.99
Kosher Salt $2.07
Baccarat Diamant Highball glass $140.00 retail
That is a grand total of $785.51. How could you not go to Flemings now for that cost-effective drink!
Make your Cinco de Mayo celebration extraordinary by visiting your local Flemings from May 4-6, to indulge in this one-of-a-kind $100 Margarita. Please visit FlemingsSteakhouse.com for reservations.
